Happy Birthday Bobby Rush

Happy Birthday Bobby Rush

Happy birthday to the great bluesman Bobby Rush (Emmett Ellis Jr.), who was born 89 years ago today and is still writing, performing, and recording as if time has no meaning. Here he is clowning in front of Club Ebony with my son Rob who was a high school senior at the time (2004 in Indianola, MS), playing blues harp for Subway Lounge owner Jimmy King in LAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI JUKES (2002 in Jackson, MS), and playing preacher for the Blues Cruise wedding of Dick and Cinda Waterman in DEEP SEA BLUES (with the late blues, soul, and gospel singer Otis Clay in 2007 on Turks and Caicos). Have a great one, Bobby! We love you!
